mesembs at DBG

The miniature crevice garden in the South African Plaza at DBG; pictures taken today.

As you can see, there are some dead plants, mostly Ebracteola wilmaniae and (looks like) Euphorbia clavarioides

Nice to see!  Looks like everything is very well labelled.


Just to prove that plants can die at DBG too.Probably from the cold snap in November; damage is visible all over the city. (I hesitate to say that the ebracteola in the garden here is still alive, but it is kind of annoying to have a plant die in the garden here and see it grown to the size of a garage at DBG.)

It looks like the labels are a bit askew. The plastic ones are replaced with unobtrusive metal ones later. 

This is just a small part of what's really, I guess, a raised concrete planter, about waist-high, filled with mesembs.
