I picked up 2 seedlings of Erigeron carringtonae at our chapter plant sale today, grown by Elisabeth Zander from Alplains seed. Other than the one entry in the Alplains catalog, I can find absolutely no mention of this particular species. Is this a legitimate name? Is the plant THAT unknown? Is it misnamed? Help!

Re: Erigeron carringtonae
Sat, 07/02/2011 - 3:06pmErigeron untermanii only got me a few hits, and it seems as though it is quite a rare plant, or at least one that is not grown widely at all. I'm actually somewhat pleased that I've got 2, so I have a decent chance at getting one to survive and flower next year. There seem to be no photographs available but I'll keep looking.
