“The Mighty 5”: Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion National Parks, lined up across southern Utah, will make up this autumn tour that will find us traveling from Durango, Colorado to Las Vegas, Nevada. These lands, where rock, water, and wind are in constant battle with one another, create one of the most otherworldly landscapes in the U.S. and we will do our best to explore each one. In addition to the parks, we will visit some unique regional museums, enjoy some of the local cuisine, and of course, we’ll have the opportunity to experience the unique flora and fauna of the American West. As an added bonus (and at the request of several of my regular travelers), I have recently added two nights to this tour and included a visit to Mesa Verde, in the southwestern corner of Colorado; thus, the updated starting point in Durango.
