Alpine Photos While Thinking About The 2012 - 2013 Seed List...

As I have been thinking of the possibilities of what might be on the 2012 - 2013 Seed List, I decided to check out some of my "in the wild" photos of some alpine and "desert" alpine gems. Here's one of my favorites: Phlox muscoides OR P. bryoides or, or, or... there are several hybrids in the area where I collected the seed. All of them are sublime specimens of tight, caespitose buns.

Morisia

Does Morisia do well from seed?
If so where can I purchase it from.
I have searched to buy plants but unfortunately it is not stocked.

Alpines October 2012

Some of these are probably more subalpines, but what the heck ;D

Tried to post once, unsuccessfully, hopefully wont end up with a double..

Rick asked about the plant behind a Sempervivum in another thread,
1,2 Polemonium boreale these are from seed spring 2012, so yet to overwinter; I have them planted in a couple of spots to see what they like..

Potting Mix

Just finished checking 51 plants in pots which have travelled 900 kilometres and were effectively under cover for 4 days from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th. They all appear ok and about a dozen had also endured being inside for two days at a local show the previous weekend. Last year I had similar good results after taking 60 plus pots north to the annual Nelson AGS show. That also involved a round trip of 900 kilometres.

A couple of lupins bought from Beaver Creek and planted this year - Lupinus wyethii (with this year's seedling Salvia pachyphylla in the background - if it survives and thrives, it may one day outgrow its spot... I don't think I'll worry about that just yet ;)) and Lupinus aridus ssp. ashlandensis, which has put up a couple of flower buds:
