The dactylorhizas are beginning to bloom. It's fascinating to see the variations. All are hybrids that started from D. fuchsii, maculata, and majalis.
Cypripedium parviflorum flowered for the first time. It is "caged" to keep it away from rabbits and squirrels -- too precious!
Bulbous plants range from large to small. A sample: Lilium x dalhansonii, Nomocharis aperta, Allium acuminatum.
very nice Claire, thanks for sharing
Wonderful stuff, Claire. I didn't realize there were any Cypripediums with such a large leaf subtending the flower! Interesting, but quite a distraction for the flower itself. I just love all the twists in the sepals!
OK I will attempt to contribute.
Glaucidium palmatum f. album

A few more from the gardens
Trillium grandiflorum multiplex
Nice, Harold. I have to keep copper mesh around mine to keep the slugs away. It's slug candy to them.
Great colors in a summer garden. Love the clematis.
After a freezing rain....
Yucca nana. The odd curls are the fibers that peel off the edges of yucca leaves, now coated with ice.
