Swamp pink Helonias bullata

Howdy all --I wonder if there are any members who have practical experience in germinating this beauty.

I've tried some many times over the years without any success however overseas seed received recently which has been soaked in water for a week appears to have plumped up......Any thoughts would be welcome thanks.

Cheers Dave.

Hello, Dave,

I grew Helonias bullata seed from the 2005-2006 NARGS seed exchange.  Seeds sown in January, 2006, germinated in December, 2006.  Seeds were sown like most of my seeds: reasonably well-drained pot of soil, covered with grit and left out all year.  My plant has grown pretty big and blooms every summer.
