I have had this for about 4 years and always comes up and blooms this time of year...this year I see it below the ground but not moving at all! I see a small green bud just below ground level and it just sits there. Anyone know what is going on?

Sun, 05/20/2012 - 11:37amThis spring mine too sat for weeks due to cold weather. When it got warmer it suddenly started growing and now it is finished flowering.
If it isn't the cold I would say some root damage . . . . .but it is hard to say without seeing.

Mon, 05/21/2012 - 1:36amNo do not dig it up,it will not like it.
My friend who lives 15 miles away had his in flower in the garden 6 weeks ago and one of mine has only emerged last week and will be another week before the first shoot flowers. The three other shoots are not showing their leaf yet. My other plant is not showing above soil yet.
My ranzania is just the same, one possible shoot appearing when it is usually in flower by now.
We had a very mild winter so no sense in this at all.

Tue, 05/22/2012 - 1:22pmHere's my Glaucidium now. It went from nothing to spent flowers in a few days. We had mild weather this winter. The other picture is from last year when we had a very cold winter. The flowering was much better.
