The Cornish Heath (Erica vagans) does flower from midsummer till late fall.
Trond, I commented in another topic about your crystal clear photographs these are stunning and they reveal such intricate detail on the rim of each flower... are you using a new camera? How hardy is this Erica? Are the flowers fragrant?
Mark, as I told, not a new camera but a sunny day for once ;)
This heath has survived for many years in my garden and both the two harsh winters we have had recently. However the tallest stems got damages and I cut the plant down last spring but it resprouted from the base. I have not discerned any fragrance.
