This is a sampling of some of the expertise and interests of the members; but rest assured, there are others who are just beginning and eager to benefit from the insights of the more experienced.

Nargs is sponsoring a trip in July 2014 to explore the alpine flora of California in the Sierra Nevada.

One of the trip leaders is an experienced botanist Stew Winchester, who earlier led a trip to the Ruby Mountains for NARGS. This is a great opportunity to view summer wildflowers at their expected peak-blooming time.

Award of Merit: Established in 1965, this award is given to persons who have made outstanding contributions to rock and alpine gardening and to the North American Rock Garden Society. In addition, the recipients will be people of demonstrated plantsmanship. The recipient must be an active member of the Society.
