Gardening books and SRGC Journals available in Bellevue, WA, USA.
Bev Miller, in Bellevue WA, USA has been in touch with me to see if any SRGC Member is interested in collecting some/all of the collection of books on gardening and plants and SRGC journals she has had for some years, after clearing a house. I have posted this message in the SRGC Forum, but it seemed to me that NARGS members might also be interested and Bev has given me her permission to post this here, too.
Seedex AGS
Nargs members who are also AGS members; I know there are a lot of us ;-) May like to know that the current AGS seedex is live now on the new AGS website. It had a hiccup on the first live day but like the previous version it saves your selections as you go along and you loose nothing, if you have a break yourself or something else does it for you. Just go back where you left off and carry on.
Ruby Mountains, Nevada
Does anyone have a species list for the Ruby Mountains in Nevada?
Bulb Log Diary on SRGC website
In 2003 Ian Young began to write a weekly diary for the SRGC website to share his experiences with growing bulbs and the continuing story of our garden. Some years later, he has just published the 800th Bulb Log Diary. All these are available free on the SRGC website. Many will be aware of the SRGC aim of sharing information and encouraging interest in alpine, woodland plants and bulbs as freely as possible, as with the International Rock Gardener e-magazine and much more on the SRGC Site.
Paronychia kapela in eastern US?

Has anyone in eastern US (or similar climates) grown Paronychia kapela? I have fond memories of seeing this plant in the Apennines, and the variety 'Binstead Gold' looks so tempting in the Edelweiss Perennials catalog. But I haven't ever seen it in gardens in my region, so I'm wondering whether it is growable here.
Thanks for any info!
Janet
