Daniel Winkler  "Plants of the Tibetan Plateau (and a Few Mushrooms)"

Author, geographer and ethno-mycologist Daniel Winkler has spent 15 years working and traveling in Tibet and the Himalayas.

He is the author of field guides to Edible Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest and of California. He grew up collecting and eating wild mushrooms in the Alps and has been foraging 15 years in the PNW and working as mushroom educator and guide. Daniel trained as a geographer and ecologist and works as researcher and NGO consultant on environmental issues of the Tibetan Plateau and Himalayas, including forestry, conservation and revegetation.
