Valeriana pauciflora is a relatively unknown woodland plant native to the Ohio River valley and a few spots along the Lower Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania. It is easy to grow in the garden and makes a nice addition to the woodland garden where it blooms after the main flush of spring flowering is past. Here in Eastern Pennsylvania it blooms in mid June.
