Trillium sessile

Trillium sessile - Garden Photo by Mike Slater T. sessile is a relatively small species of sessile trillium. It is notable for the anther conective which extend 2-5 mm beyond the anther sacs. Plants appearing under this name in the nursery trade are often actually Trillium cuneatum which is a sessile trillium differs from the present species in its larger size and the anther connective extending only 0 - 0.5 mm.
