Delphinium tatsienense

by Iza Goroff

Delphinium tatsienense, a native of Szechwan, China, is a valuable plant for its rich blue flowers, its summer flowers, and its relatively low stature. Out of flower it is about 6" (15 cm) tall. In flower it is at least twice as tall.

Delphinium tatsienense is an easy plant in most rock garden soils in at least a partially sunny location. Delphiniums are relatively easy to raise from

Other blue flowered delphinium species worth growing in the rock garden include D. caucasicum and D. pylzowii.
