Erigeron eatonii

Calgary, Zone 3.  Taken June 27, 2015.  This little guy self-seeded between some paving stones and seems to like it there.

The parent plants are quite floriferous, but the self-seeding is probably useful because it doesn't seem as if the individual plants are very long-lived.  The original plants are from 2009, but I have no idea if those plants are still alive (Probably not).   If these are not dead-headed after blooming, you will have Erigeron eatonii everywhere.  I usually leave one or two stalks so that there will be some new plants the next year.  Excess seedlings are easy to remove.

Plants bloom in their second season.  Plant height is about 5 to 10 cm when blooming.
