At only $10.00 a year, membership in the Great Lakes Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society is a super bargain. National membership is encouraged but not required. The chapter hosts about six meetings a year at various locations in southern Michigan. The meetings typically feature a visiting speaker, usually from out-of-state or overseas. Traditionally we have two full-day programs a year – one in the spring and one in the fall, generally held on a Saturday. These gatherings include visits to members’ gardens, a guest speaker, and a fabulous plant sale/exchange/auction at which you can pick up any number of rare and interesting plants starting at $2.00.
