North American Rock Garden Society

The Chapter is open to all, with annual dues of $10. Members meet for lectures, rock garden talk, plant shows, plant sales and auctions, workshops, garden tours and seedling sales.

Ashford, CT

 

Directions:

From  84 East, take exit 69 ( Rt. 74 to Rt. 44, about 10 miles).  Follow Rt 44 east about 4 miles to the blinking yellow light at the corner of North Rd, just after the Ashford Dairy Bar. Follow North Rd to the stop sign(about one mile) and go right onto Floeting Rd. in Ashford.  Go about

 one mile to 82 Ashford Rd. at the brook(you are now in Eastford)   82 is on the right; a sign near the mailbox says "Katkaveck" and  "Trillium Hill".

Meeting at Quackin’ Grass Nursery

Quackin’ Grass Nursery, 16 Laurel Hill Road, Brooklyn, CT

 

Directions:

     From Hartford: Take Route 6 east to the town of Brooklyn.  Watch for the Nursery sign and its companion sign DISPLAY GARDENS on the left side of the road.  At this juncture, take a left onto Laurel Hill Road.  Quackin’ Grass Nursery is the 2nd driveway on the right.  If you find yourself at the intersection of Route 6 and Route 169, you have gone exactly one mile too far.

Directions:

By train: Metro-North New Haven

line to Pelham. Walk north (same side of station as train exit

Daronco Town House is 1/2 block from station, near gazebo.

 

By car: Merritt Parkway to Hutchinson River Parkway South. Exit 12 (Lincoln Ave). At exit, go right and right again at light onto

Lincoln Ave. Stay on Lincoln Ave. to Fifth Ave. At Fifth,

go right. Town House is 2 1/2 blocks on left. Parking in rear on Sunday.
