If you have a question of general interest, or about which there may be many opinions, then the rock gardening discussion group, Alpine-L is the way to go. Join this group to ask such questions as:

Plant Nuts

Where should I go to photograph Lewisias in the Siskiyous.

If the question is a beginner's, or you are just shy, ask Barbara van Achterberg. (Please say where you garden and include "RG 101" in the subject line.) Barbara can call on many on-line rock gardeners, and will pass along tough ones to an expert. You can try to stump Barbara with questions such as:

What is tufa?

What are some good penstemons?

Why are alpines tough to grow?

What is an Acantholimon?

And if you want to know almost anything related to the North American Rock Garden Society, then your best bet is the Responsible Positions Page, a Who's Who of national and chapter officers.
