| Lynda & John Soper | Many pathways lead the visitor through this expansive rural garden. Nestled among mature white pine, cedar and spruce are several water features including a large lined pond with waterfalls and side stream. The rocky landscape has provided immense limestone slabs and huge granite boulders which have been used to form perennial beds containing hosta, astilbe, primula, iris, campanula and many other genus. Included in the design are over 50 troughs featuring dwarf conifers, adrosaces, lewisias and alpines. Several new troughs have been integrated into a recently completed crevice / scree bed. A shady woodlands garden contains such natives as arisaema, maidenhair fern, ram's head orchid and blue cohosh. |
