Member Gardens in British Columbia

Armstrong
Charles Bailey A large garden built on a natural outcrop of lichen-covered igneous rock. There are about a thousand species of plants derived mainly from western North America, Turkey, the Caucasus, and central Asia. Plants from these locations do particularly well in the local climate. Genera that are well represented are Acantholimon, Aethionema, Arenaria, Astragalus, Campanula, Convolvulus, Dianthus, Draba, Eriogonum, Fritillaria, Gentiana, Linum, Penstemon, Silene, Townsendia, and Veronica.
Graham Ware I live outside of Armstrong BC. My garden is brand new and evolving as I have just built a new home that very much resembles an early 19th C. SouthWest farmhouse. No faux in the vernacular but as close as possible to the real thing.

Naturalistic garden style (with a walled garden under construction) with some crevice boulder "beds" (some still under construction) to accommodate a wide variety of Penstemons and Turkish flora.

Also a real emphasis on Chinese flora as well as many Altai species collected by Halda, CKS and Pavelka. Definitely an artistic yet cohesive edge for a collector's garden. Always call ahead because there are no guarantees that I will be available.
