Sulphur Flower, Umbrella Plant. Natives of western North America, the eriogonums thrive in well-drained soil and sunny spaces. Yellow flowers on 6-12" stems blooming from June to August arch over a slow-spreading mat of silvery green leaves. In high rainfall areas it should be grown in scree. Rocky Mountains. Zones 5-7.
