Rockcress. A fairly easy, prostrate mat-forming perennial with pink or purple flowers, 6" high trailing to 2'. A classic rockery plant, it looks best dropping over a wall and often does best in an east-facing exposure. It should be pruned back after blooming to keep it compact and to avoid seeding. From stony, limy rockslides of the Mediterranean. Zones 4-8.
